Artist of the Month
Each month during the school year at Madison Station Elementary, different artists will be showcased. The goal is to provide students with a variety of artwork to enjoy during the year and to help the PTO support our children's art program. Featured artists donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their art to the Madison Station art program.

Artist of the Month:
Mary Kathryn Decker
Mary Kathryn Decker, a Madison, MS native born into a family of artists, grew up immersed in creativity, constantly painting and assisting her mother with professional murals.
While attending the University of Mississippi beginning in 2015, a painting she created for her dorm sparked growing demand, leading her to spend each summer producing hundreds of custom pieces for dorms and apartments.
She graduated from Ole Miss in 2019 with a degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, honoring her family’s medical roots, but her true passion remained art and entrepreneurship. In 2020, she took a leap of faith to pursue art full time, and her business has since flourished—shipping thousands of paintings across the U.S.
