Artist of the Month
Each month during the school year at Madison Station Elementary, different artists will be showcased. The goal is to provide students with a variety of artwork to enjoy during the year and to help the PTO support our children's art program. Featured artists donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their art to the Madison Station art program.
If you are interested in any of the art featured below and on our MSE PTO Facebook page,
please contact the front office for assistance 601-856-6246.
If you are interested in a painting that has already been sold, feel free to contact Kelly Stringer (kelly@maxeywann.com) to ask if the artist can create additional or similar pieces.
Artist of the Month:
Sarah Roberts
Meet Sarah Roberts, the artist behind Flower Girl Paintings. A geophysicist turned watercolor artist, Sarah picked up a paintbrush in late 2021 for the first time since her art class at Eaton High School—and hasn’t put it down since.
She began by painting the wildflowers around her home in the Southwest. Today, she draws inspiration from the plants and animals she encounters wherever life takes her and her husband, Zane—from Ohio and Idaho to New Mexico and now Mississippi.
For Sarah, painting is a way to encounter her Father through the world He created. She hopes her art invites others to pause and wonder at the beauty and mystery of nature.
