Artist of the Month
Each month during the school year at Madison Station Elementary, different artists will be showcased. The goal is to provide students with a variety of artwork to enjoy during the year and to help the PTO support our children's art program. Featured artists donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their art to the Madison Station art program.
If you are interested in any of the art featured below and on our MSE PTO Facebook page,
please contact Mrs. Pamela in the office for assistance 601-856-6246.
If you are interested in a painting that has already been sold, feel free to contact Kristin Odom (kristin.l.odom@gmail.com) to ask if the artist can create additional or similar pieces.
Artists of the Month:
Lori Rene Ragab
As an art teacher at Madison Station Elementary School, my work is centered around mixed media abstract color experimentation with texture and simple patterns. I believe that by focusing on color design, my art is able to evoke emotion and bring a sense of playfulness to the viewer. I enjoy using a variety of materials in my work, including paint, collage, and found objects to create texture and depth.
In art, I strive to create a sense of balance and harmony through the use of color and form. I am constantly exploring new color combinations and techniques, and I enjoy the process of experimentation and discovery that is inherent in creating abstract art. Overall, my goal as an artist is to create work that engages the viewer and sparks their imagination. I believe that art has the power to transform and inspire, and I am constantly seeking ways to bring this transformative power into my teaching and my own artistic practice.
If you would like to purchase, please see Ms. Pamela in the front office.
